Well known for its blue colour, sodalite may also be grey, yellow, green, or pink and is often mottled with white veins or patches.

Sodalite is said to bring order and calmness to the mind.  It is also believed to encourage rational thought, objectivity, truth and intuition, along with verbalisation of feelings.  It is thought to bring emotional balance and assist feeling calm, to enhance self-esteem, self-acceptance and self-trust.
